MP3elf v2 Purchase
The MP3elf Version 2 is now available for purchase in kit form, as well as fully assembled.

These kits are being sold to cover the development cost of the project, rather than for profit.

Please note:
These kits DO NOT include a TINI, an LCD (except where stated), an enclosure, or a power supply
Full Kit - AUD$200 (~US$110)
Full Kit The Full Kit includes all electronic components except TINI, LCD and enclosure. Onboard pushbuttons are included, however the optional off-board pushbuttons/keypad are not - these will depend on your choice of mounting enclosure. You should be competent at soldering to attempt this kit, as it contains a number of surface mount components.
Full Kit with LCD - AUD$250 (~US$140)
Full Kit with LCD The Full Kit includes all electronic components plus a 4x20 backlit LCD. TINI and enclosure not included. Onboard pushbuttons are included, however the optional off-board pushbuttons/keypad are not - these will depend on your choice of mounting enclosure. You should be competent at soldering to attempt this kit, as it contains a number of surface mount components.
Assembled Kit - AUD$310 (~US$170)
Assembled Kit The Assembled Kit is as per the Full Kit, but is assembled and tested. It does not include the TINI, LCD, or enclosure.
Assembled Kit with LCD - AUD$380 (~US$210)
Assembled Kit with LCD The Assembled Kit with LCD is as per the Full Kit, but is assembled and tested and includes a 4x20 backlit LCD. It does not include the TINI or enclosure.
Other Information

  • You will require a TINI module. These are available online from Dallas Maxim as well as Systronix and Wired to the web

  • You will also require a power supply. These are commonly available from stores such as Radio Shack. Refer to the constructors guide for more information

  • You may wish to fit an LCD module. The mp3elf uses common Hitachi HD44780 compatible parallel LCDs up to 4x20. The MP3elf can also support serial LCDs

  • The new board is designed to be used "bare" but you might like to enclose it in some form of a case. We leave this up to your imagination.
